Before anything existed—no stars, no earth, no sky—God was there. Out of His great wisdom and power, God spoke light into the darkness. Over six days, God organized the chaos into a living world filled with oceans, land, sun, moon, trees, fish, birds, and animals.
On the sixth day, God made His ultimate creation: human beings. God created Adam and Eve and placed them in the Garden of Eden. Unlike the animals, humans were made in God's own image, given the special responsibility to care for the earth and live in direct fellowship with God.
